Idaho Alcohol Sampling and Tasting Laws

Last checked: November 6, 2026 (statute loaded).

This is not legal advice. It is a plain-English summary of public law. Rules change and local governments often add their own. Verify with the state agency linked below before you plan a tasting.
  • A distilled spirits supplier or its representative may offer free sample tastings in a state liquor store.
  • Samples are at most one-quarter ounce, at most three per person in 24 hours, served only by people 21 or older, in a defined sample area the pourer can observe and control.
